Ok, so I am going to retrograde this post....haha!! If you read from here on down, it will be in reverse order...I got tired of going to the bottom of the post to add more stuff!
Here goes:
TRANSITION DAY:
(DIDN'T GO SO WELL :))
So our poor new little chickies had to get separated from the big girls. Seems Lulu has a little complex about someone else being in her HOUSE. Lots of squawking and they pecked the beJesus out of poor Coraline. So she is separated until she heals up and the other three are separated within the main coop from the big girls. the big girls go out roaming all day, so the little one's get the run of the coop all day. Hopefully a week of this will settle Ms. Queen Bee down and she'll get used to them.
LULU AND CHLOE

Lol Jacob kills me!
OCTOBER 20
Yesterday when I went down to water and feed the big girls, I found what looked like a rubbery membrane laying at the opening to their coop. Closer inspection found another one, and a yolk? Umm. Upon looking down, I found laying in the pine straw an oval object covered in the same membrane. And guess what was inside the membrane????
Our very first egg!
Not sure who laid it. I'm hoping there will be more!
Hooray!
blessings!

Happy day!
